Upon entering the campsite, I immediately anticipated challenges due to the heat and lack of energy among students. However, the Camp Staff stood out as our motivators, infusing us with positivity upon arrival at the main lodge. Their unwavering efforts to make us feel welcome, given that it was our first time at CYO Camp, impressed me.
The camp excelled in game and activity planning, addressing all scenarios with creativity and thoroughness.
The staff, having been camp students themselves, continually improved the experience. The atmosphere was consistently charged with positive energy and active engagement, particularly during enjoyable skit performances. The absence of phones highlighted our ability to connect and have fun beyond electronics.
Despite minor location and supply issues, I bonded with new people and counselors, enhancing the sense of community within our Korean/American Catholic Church. The experience was genuinely enjoyable and unifying.
